MICHAEL JASPER

Michael Gabriel Jasper was born in Bronxville, New York on September 19, 1993, the youngest of four siblings and son of composer/recording artist, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy lifetime achievement award recipient, Chris Jasper, formerly of the recording groups Isley Brothers and Isley-Jasper-Isley.


Education and Training


Michael started studying piano when he was 4 years old. He continued to study music performance and advanced music technology in high school and throughout college. Michael graduated from Fairfield University in 2015, with a major in Film and minors in Music and Politics. Michael currently attends law school while he continues to pursue his career in music, film and writing.

Michael is a 3rd degree blackbelt in Kung Fu (Shaolin Chuan Fa. Michael started training in martial arts at the young age of 3, with Steve Demasco Shaolin Studios (SDSS), a martial arts academy that is internationally certified by the Shaolin Temple in China.


Musical Background

In 2010, at the age of 16, Michael released his a dance/techno/pop CD, “Addictive” on the Gold City record label. Michael wrote and recorded all of the songs on the CD, which was co-produced by Chris Jasper, who accompanied Michael on talkbox and background vocals.


Michael and Chris are currently working on a film score for Michael's first full-length screenplay, Lost In Time: The Legend of Samorrah, which is soon to be released in a fully illustrated book and interactive e-book format.

Michael's new release "Make It"— an uptempo club song with a driving beat and a unique blend of EDM, pop, hip-hop and funk—is Track #1 from “Mike’s First Five” tracks being released in advance of his forthcoming CD "Dreams" (2016).
